In these projects, which were a combination of new buildings and expansion/refurbishment of the existing buildings.  Monospray undertook all the passive fire proofing works of the new structural steel that was installed.  In the first three projects extensive acoustic spraying works were undertaken where ceilings of lecture theatres, open plan areas and meeting rooms were treated with a cellulose acoustic spray.  For the Old Engineering School project the steel members were fire rated with an intumescent coating.  The entire package of steel preparation comprising of blasting of the steel to Class SA 2 ½ , application of a compatible primer, intumescent coating and protective top coat was undertaken by Monospray.
